I stand before you today as the thirteenth President of the directly-elected European Parliament. Dnes před vámi stojím jako třináctý předseda přímo zvoleného Evropského parlamentu. Slovenia is an example to Slovakia: it was the first of the EU-10 countries and the thirteenth of all EU Member States to introduce the euro, which it did in 2007.
