We now have a bicameral parliament in the European Union. Wir haben jetzt ein Zweikammer-Parlament in der Europäischen Union. This actually changes the legislative authority of the European Union into a real bicameral legislative authority. Damit wird die Legislative der Europäischen Union zu einer echten Zweikammer-Legislative. All this recognises the equality of the two institutions and, as I said earlier, sets up this new era where we are two parts of a bicameral legislative authority at European level. All dies ist ein Zeichen für die Gleichstellung der beiden Institutionen und kennzeichnet, wie ich schon eingangs sagte, den Beginn einer neuen Ära einer Zweikammer-Legislative auf europäischer Ebene.
